Common faults of hydraulic stations and their solutions

 2025-08-18       0

Hydraulic stations have significantly boosted the hydraulic equipment industry. Their widespread use has fueled the rapid growth of the industry. But how can you troubleshoot problems? Let's take a look.

1. Hydraulic Station Oil Leakage and Unstable Oil Pressure

After long-term use, significant leakage can occur between the oil collection channels and between the valve and the oil collection channel in the safety brake system. Drops in oil pressure can also cause the valve to loosen. This is caused by loose screws between them, which can be resolved by tightening them. Unstable oil pressure is caused by air in the hydraulic system, which should be removed. Alternatively, the electric hydraulic pressure regulator's coil may be filtering poorly, causing the coil to oscillate, leading to unstable oil pressure. Install an electrolytic capacitor to enhance filtering.

2. Hydraulic station oil pressure cannot be guaranteed

The reason is that there is an air inlet in the system, there is a lot of foam in the oil in the fuel tank, or there may be significant leakage in the relief valve or solenoid reversing valve. Solution: Check the oil pump suction port for leaks; check whether the oil pump suction port pipe joint is tight; and check whether the suction filter screws are tight.

Check for leaks in the line from the oil filter to the oil pump suction port. Check that the oil pump end cap screws are tight. Clean the relief valve spool. If the spool does not move within the sensitive valve body, grasp the spool and grind it back and forth in the body. Clean the solenoid reversing valve spool. Ensure the spool moves flexibly within the valve body and ensure it is in place during operation.

3. Zero Oil Pressure

Reasons for the hydraulic station brake not releasing and the system being pressure-free: The oil pump is rotating in the reverse direction or is not delivering fluid; the overflow valve slide on the electric hydraulic proportional unit is stuck, or the orifice is blocked; the oil pump suction port is blocked, or the suction filter is locked; there is dirt in the pressure valve, preventing the boost valve from closing. Solution: Correct the pump's rotation direction and eliminate any faults. Disassemble and clean the relief valve, ensuring the valve core moves flexibly within the valve body and blowing compressed air through the orifice. Clean the filter element and check the oil suction pipe for blockage. Disassemble the pressure valve and remove the tapered valve core for cleaning.

4. Excessive Residual Pressure in the Hydraulic Station

Excessive residual pressure can cause brake failure. The primary causes are: the distance between the baffle plate and the nozzle on the electric hydraulic pressure regulator control lever is too small; or the relief valve orifice is too large. Solution: Adjust or replace the upper baffle plate on the control lever; replace the relief valve orifice with a smaller one.
