Key points for daily maintenance of hydraulic cylinders:

1. During the use of hydraulic cylinders, the hydraulic oil should be replaced regularly, and the system filter should be cleaned to ensure cleanliness and extend the service life.

2. Check the connection parts such as threads and bolts frequently, and tighten them immediately if they are loose.

3. Protect the outer surface of the piston rod to prevent damage to the seals caused by bumps and scratches. Clean the mud and sand on the dynamic seal dust ring of the cylinder and the exposed piston rod frequently to prevent the dirt that is difficult to clean from sticking to the surface of the piston rod from entering the cylinder and damaging the piston, cylinder or seal.

4. Control the system temperature well. Excessive oil temperature of the hydraulic cylinder will reduce the service life of the seal. Long-term high oil temperature of the hydraulic cylinder will cause permanent deformation of the seal, or even complete failure.

5. Every time the hydraulic cylinder is used, it should be tested for 5 strokes with full extension and retraction and then run with load. Doing so can exhaust the air in the system and preheat each system. It can effectively prevent the presence of air or water in the system, causing gas explosion (or scorching) in the cylinder body, which will damage the seal and cause faults such as oil cylinder leakage.

6. Frequently lubricate the connection parts to prevent rust or abnormal wear of the hydraulic cylinder without oil.
